2009 FIM Asian Supercross Championships Round 2 Mongolia

The Round 2 of the FIM Asian Motocross Championships shall be going to the Ulaanbaatar , Mongolia on July 19, 2009. The Asian Motocross tour has just been to the Philippines held last March 1, 2009 in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan Islands, Philippines for the launching of its Round 1.

The FIM Asian Tour is composed of FIM affiliated members that host national motocross series themselves in their respective federations and representatives of which have access to participate in the Asian Motocross Series. Promoted by Extreme Works the series hosts riders & officials from Japan, Australia, Philippines, Mongolia, India, UAE, Iran, Thailand, China, Guam and Indonesia.

For this coming leg of the Round 2 Thanarat Penjan of Thailand is on the lead in the series past Kaga of Japan whom shall not be participating in the Mongolian round but it would be Takeshi Tabuchi Yamaha Japan in place. Mongolian rider Erdenbileg Khalionbold of Mongolia, fresh from his race in Word MX GP in Germany last weeks shall also be a hot contender to the race.

Local host Dashondog Ochirsukh has said preparations are on the way and since its first time for Mongolia to host such a race we will ensure its success, said the Secretary General of MAMSF, Mongolian Auto & Motorcycle Sports Federation.
